Students on the normal MSci programme have the option of taking a 120 credit Placement Year. If the module is passed, they will graduate with a degree in “MSci Geology and Physical Geography with Placement Year”; the mark will contribute to the overall degree classification (10%). If the student fails the Placement Year they revert to the standard MSci Geology and Physical Geography. The following must be taken:
